Jay shared that “Customers often note the superior quality and taste of our products. He has found that foliar applications of Neptune’s work wonders for the blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. Jay uses Neptune's Fish Fertilizer a few times in the spring to give the berries an early season boost and then at least once more in the fall. Their organic berry operation includes raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and kiwi berries - all grown using regenerative farming methods which sustain the soil and benefit farm ecology. While the farm's main focus is cattle, in 2015 they worked to convert 5 acres of river bottom hayfield into berry production. Recently we had a chance to talk with a long-time customer, Jay Dunbar of River Ridge Farm about his experience with Neptune's.Īlong the New River in Grayson County, VA, the River Ridge Land and Cattle Company consists of 1,500 acres that are under a conservation easement which protects the land from commercial development and protects the ecology of the neighboring New River. That kind of performance speaks for itself! Typically, once a farmer tries Neptune’s they tend to stay with it, and in over a decade of distributing Neptune's Fish Fertilizers we have not received any complaints or returns. We often hear from farmers about the benefits of using Neptune’s Harvest. All Neptune's formulations are screened to 150 microns small enough to work well in any drip irrigation system. Neptune's Fish Fertilizers can be used through drip irrigation systems or in foliar sprays, with no risk of burn. Neptune's Fish & Seaweed contains soluble seaweed (Ascophyllum Nodosum) which provides an additional nutrient boost and helps protect plants from stresses like transplant shock, heat, drought and pest or disease pressure.
